Job Description:

Our Inspection Quality Control Reviewers ensure that all inspections we perform meet our high standards for accuracy, consistency and quality.

Founded in 1999, IronPlanet has grown to be the largest online auction company of heavy equipment.  With investors such as Caterpillar, Komatsu and Volvo, IronPlanet sells through online auctions a broad range of used assets including construction, agricultural, material handling and transportation equipment. IronPlanet is the only auction company to provide detailed, guaranteed inspection reports for used equipment in its auctions.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate the accuracy of each inspection report by comparing photographs of the equipment and oil sample results with the condition assessments recorded by the field inspector.
• Communicate with field inspectors as appropriate and use automated system to assist with the evaluation and final posting of reports.
• As part of the quality review, also evaluate field inspector performance and assist in the resolution of disputes submitted by buyers.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Position is viewed as an entry level opportunity to learn the auction industry and offers significant upside growth into other roles within IronPlanet.

Requirements:

• Strong written communication skills, mechanical aptitude, and basic computer experience.
• Working knowledge of construction, agricultural, and materials handling equipment.
• Experience with on-highway trucks and cranes will be viewed as a plus.
